Hey Team Avatar! Thank you for your patience as we delayed a week to get as much in order as we could for this update! It’s a bit of a long one but we’re excited to dig in and talk about where we go from here!

Shipping Updates & Apology

Good news, everyone! Despite many bumps on the road, all regions except Asia, Africa, and the Middle East—and a few outstanding orders in the EU—are complete! Over 80,000 packages have made their way into the hands of backers, and we are overjoyed to see pictures and videos of you all enjoying your rewards!

Before we get into further updates, we want to take a moment to apologize to those impacted by the multiple shipping issues we’ve encountered throughout the process. To everyone whose package has been damaged, delayed, or lost—or who has been impacted by the mishandling of VAT or customs paperwork—we’re deeply sorry. We know it’s a frustrating and disappointing experience when something goes wrong with receiving your pledge. We are committed to making sure everyone receives their rewards in good condition and will continue to send out replacement packages for anyone who needs one.

As many of you may know, our shipping partner for the UK, EU, and US has been the source of many issues in regard to these delays, damages, and errors. Privately, we did several reference checks for the company and were assured by industry insiders of the professionalism and capabilities of the company. While our partner was able to address the incredible volume that this campaign required—shipping 60,000 packages in just a few weeks—they have not been able to address many of the problems that have arisen in a timely manner.

For these reasons, we are working to handle all the outstanding orders—including reshipment or replacement orders—through new partners or our own warehouses as much as possible.

We especially want to thank our EU backers for their patience. We are working hard to ensure all outstanding packages go out and our team, especially our CEO, is spending every day working to solve these issues. We apologize for all of these delays and issues, and we have appreciated your kindness in correspondence with our team.

Replacements for damaged or missing items are shipping in the next 5-10 days and tracking information will be sent as these packages are put in the mail. Our warehouse will be taking over as many of the replacement shipments as we can so we can ensure they aren’t sent in damaged or weak boxes and are packed properly. If you have been waiting to have your ticket addressed, please continue to be patient; we’re working through the last outstanding tickets this week!

Digital Assets

We are continuing work on our digital assets so you can enjoy the game online! In a previous update, we announced Roll20 character sheets and we are excited to say they are ready for you to use in your games! Roll20 character sheets are available on the website now! You can run your games using the Roll20 digital assets by selecting Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game as your game when you set it up. 

In addition, Demiplane is continuing to work on the character resources for the Avatar Legends Nexus. Once they have those resources ready for you to try, we’ll post an update here! For those folks who still haven’t claimed their Demiplane code, you now have until March 31st to claim your code! We are currently working on other digital assets for Avatar Legends. That said, they have to pass through many rounds of approval before we can tell you about them! We know many of you have requests for specific assets. We’ve heard you and are considering all options, but currently can’t confirm what will come next. As always, once we can, we’ll let you know with an update!

All-Star Actual Play

After several rounds of approvals, the All-Star Actual Play is in its final approval stage! We apologize that this isn’t quite ready for all of you today, but it will be ready very shortly! The approval process, as you all know from this project, can sometimes be a long process of edits and changes and resubmitting. To ensure this is the best actual play for the project, it has taken longer than originally estimated.

That said, it should be available within the next few weeks. Once it is, we will post an update with all the details on how you can access it! We’re so excited for you to finally get to see the AP and can’t wait to send that update in the upcoming weeks!

The adventure for the actual play is in the process of editing and approval. Once it finishes that process, we will be sending you the PDF of the adventure!

Upcoming Avatar Legends Releases

While we’re wrapping up this Kickstarter, we know many of you have been eager for news of future supplements and other Avatar Legends: the Roleplaying Game releases! We promise you that when those products launch—either for direct order or for preorder—we will let you know by posting an update here!

That said, stay tuned for some exciting news in the coming weeks for the Starter Set (available exclusively from Target) and for the Republic City supplement! Both of these products have new content for your game and we can’t wait to share the exciting details in the weeks to come!

We can’t thank you enough for going on this journey with us! While the project is still winding down as we ensure replacements and missing orders go out and get the final few products to you, we want to make sure you know that it’s been an incredible journey with Team Avatar, and as it nears its end, we’re so grateful for every one of you and your incredible excitement, support, patience, and joy during the project!

Asia, Middle East, and Africa Shipping Update

Hey Team Avatar! We’re very excited to say that Asia, the Middle East, and Africa are finally shipping! These regions all ship from the same fulfillment center in Asia, and we’re delighted to hear from our shipping partner that everything has finally cleared customs and packages are beginning to go out!

Asia, Middle East, and Africa Shipping

Our fulfillment partner for these regions has begun packing and shipping! Packages will begin going out today!

You will receive tracking information via email from Backerkit. This email will go to the email address associated with your Backerkit account.

Once you receive your tracking information, your package is ready to ship and will be sent out within a few days. You will receive your carrier information at this time.

Packages should arrive within two weeks after you receive your shipping notification.

Your order will include everything from your pledge and any add-ons you added during the campaign or in Backerkit after the fact.

Reporting An Issue

Shipping is happening but sometimes things go wrong. This can include a missing item in your order, a damaged item in your order, or your package not showing up. For those issues, please follow these instructions:

If your shipping notification is showing a different address than you entered in Backerkit, please use this form.

If you’re missing an item from your order, use this form. Please include what item is missing from your order specifically (ex: core book, combat deck, standard dice, etc.)

If you have a damaged item in your order, use this form. Please include a picture of the damaged item, showing how it is damaged.

If your order has been reported delivered but is missing or stolen, please use this form.

If your order is lost, please wait at least two weeks from the time you received your tracking information and check your tracking information for any updates. After that time has expired, please fill out this form.

Leaving a comment on this update, in the regular comment section, sending us a private message on Kickstarter, or emailing us directly will not be considered reporting an issue. You must use the methods above.

Some things to keep in mind before you report an issue:

  • The Adventure Booklets are in Wan Shi Tong’s Adventure Guide (unless you ordered individual ones separately)
  • The Expanded Play Guide is also in Wan Shi Tong’s Adventure Guide (unless you ordered an individual one separately)
  • The White Lotus Tile and Deluxe Dice Bag had changes due to the final approved design.

If you have not received a tracking number by February 28th, please fill out the form to report your package missing.

Please keep in mind that our team is small and while we will do our best to respond to all issues in a timely manner, that can take up to a week.

If you feel we’re moving a bit slow, do not send multiple messages or fill out the form multiple times. We are working diligently to respond to you!

EU Shipping Update

Hey Team Avatar! We know things in the EU haven’t been going smoothly, so we’re here with an update on what’s been going on and what to expect in the coming days!

EU Shipping Updates

We apologize for the continued delays that this region has been experiencing. While our shipping partner assured us things would go smoothly, it’s become very clear they are struggling deeply to fulfill orders and meet the deadlines they agreed to. We have been communicating the information they gave us to you, and have spent the last week and weekend working with them to ensure they can meet their agreements with us.

These delays are absolutely unacceptable and we extend our deepest apologies to this region for the ongoing frustration and issues. We know how difficult and exasperating this has been. Thank you to everyone who has replied with patience, support, and encouragement, both on here and directly to our staff members. It is deeply appreciated as we work to resolve this issue.

After working extended hours and through this weekend, orders are going out for this region. If you are in the EU region and have not yet received a shipping notification, you should receive one this week. They have informed us that they are working to bring in more staff to ensure the remaining EU orders will go out, with upgraded shipping via UPS on us, by the end of day on Friday.

Thank you again for your patience as we’ve worked through this with our shipping partner. If there are further updates as we continue to stay in constant contact with them, we will let you know via commenting on this update.

Hey Team Avatar! Thanks so much for your patience as we’ve spent the day catching up with our fulfillment centers for a final count on what’s happening! Let’s jump into the shipping updates region by region!

Regional Shipping Updates

Getting a shipping notification: While many people are getting their shipping emails, not everyone is. We are working to correct this. If you cannot find a shipping email (it isn’t caught in spam, promotions, or cache), please check your Backerkit first to see if you have shipping information there. You can do so by visiting this link: https://avatarrpg.backerkit.com/

Form issues: Many of you have mentioned the form isn’t working as you need it to. We have updated the form! We’re sorry for the confusion and frustration the form caused! Thanks to everyone who reached out to let us know it wasn’t working!

Australia & New Zealand: All orders in this region have shipped. If you haven’t received shipping information, or it isn’t in your Backerkit, please use the form to let us know.

UK: All orders in this region have shipped. If you haven’t received shipping information, or it isn’t in your Backerkit, please use the form to let us know.

EU: Nearly all of the orders in the EU have gone out. There are around 2300 orders that haven’t been shipped due to VAT issues that are set to be shipped on Monday, Jan 23. Those backers have been contacted via email.

USA: The USA has finished shipping today (orders are still going out right now!), including Puerto Rico! If you haven’t received shipping information, or it isn’t in your Backerkit by tomorrow, please use the form to let us know.

Canada: All orders in this region have shipped. If you haven’t received shipping information, or it isn’t in your Backerkit, please use the form to let us know.

Asia, Africa, and the Middle East: The delays we spoke of in our last update are still continuing. We will post an update for this region once we have progress. We apologize for this continued delay!

Latin America: More than half of this region is complete! We have roughly 350 orders still to ship. If you have not received your package by January 31, 2023, please fill out the form to report your package missing.

Please remember to use the form to report any issues. Messaging or tagging us on social media, messaging us on Kickstarter, posting a comment on Kickstarter (updates or in the general comments), or posting a message anywhere in our community Discord is not a way to open a ticket. Thank you!

Damaged Products and Shipping Boxes

We are absolutely dismayed at the state of some of the boxes arriving to you. This is absolutely unacceptable and we are so sorry that your beautiful games are arriving in such a state! For any and all damaged products, please use the form to report the damage. We will send replacements starting Monday!

We are working with our fulfillment partners to ensure the replacements arrive in much better boxes and condition. For all those who received awful boxes, we apologize again. Thank you for letting us know about this issue and for using the form to let us know about your damaged product!

Hey Team Avatar! Happy New Year! We hope you had a great holiday season if you celebrated, enjoyed some time with friends and family, ate great food, and played some fun games!

Let’s dive into our update for every region!

Regional Shipping Updates

Australia & New Zealand: All but 200 orders have already been shipped. These last orders will go out before January 20th (once the last of the inventory reaches our fulfillment center). If you are in this region and don’t receive a shipping notification by January 20th, please use the form to report your package missing.

UK: All but 600 orders have already been shipped. These last orders will go out in the next week. If you haven’t received a shipping email by January 20th, please use the form to report your package missing.

EU: EU shipping is continuing to progress steadily; some packages have been held up as our shipping partner resolved EU VAT issues, but the remaining packages will ship over the next week. If you haven’t received a shipping email by January 20th, please use the form to report your package missing.

USA: Orders are shipping right now! There were a few small delays from the holidays and several weather events. Shipping emails are going out, though they are delayed from when an order is marked as shipped to when the email goes out. We are working on resolving this delay with our partners. We expect the majority of shipping to be complete in the next week. If you have not received a shipping email by January 20th, please use the form on the shipping update to report it.

There is a delay with Peurto Rican orders. We’re waiting on news from our fulfillment partners and will comment here when we have an update.

Canada: Canadian orders were slightly delayed due to the weather and holidays. Orders are currently shipping from our fulfillment partner! If you haven’t received a shipping notification by January 20th, please use the form on the shipping update to report it.

Asia, Africa, and the Middle East: The delays impacting these regions continue. Unfortunately, part of the product is stuck in customs and we cannot begin shipping until it arrives. Further delays have happened because Covid has hit the region and everything is moving incredibly slow. Additionally, our fulfillment partner has closed for Lunar New Year. Once they reopen and customs clears our product, shipping will begin. We’re sorry we don’t have better news for these regions and will continue to get updates to you.

Latin America: These orders are already shipping and many have received their orders. There are some issues with Brazilian orders and we are working with our fulfillment partner to figure out what happened and course correct, as well as work with those impacted to ensure a satisfactory solution happens. If you are one of the people impacted by the mislabeling issues in Brazil, please use the form to let us know. If you haven’t received a shipping notification by January 31st, please use the form on the shipping update to report it.

Avatar Legends Retail Date

While we know many of you are still waiting for your orders, it’s important to talk about when the game will be available at your friendly local game stores!

Avatar Legends official street date, the date when it will be for sale in all stores, is January 25th. We are confident most backers will have their rewards before this date. Please tell your friends who are interested to look for it in stores then!

Gaming stores that backed the Kickstarter will be able to sell the copies they received as backers starting today, January 11th. These stores are being given the opportunity to sell the game before locations that didn’t back the project as a thank you for their support. If you see the game available in a local gaming store, it’s because they backed the project like you did! A huge thank you to our FLGS backers! We’re so excited you supported the project!

Please don't forget to unlock your Avatar Legends NEXUS as soon as you can! In order to help make sure every last backer gets access to the NEXUS, we have extended the deadline for code redemption to Feb 28th, 2023!
